The Parkside Hotel & Spa is a carbon neutral company. Since 2019, we’ve measured and offset our greenhouse gas emissions. We chose to offset our emissions with Ostrom Climate, Canada’s leading carbon management solutions provider. Their carbon offset projects are verified and validated by third parties to ensure that the emission reductions are real, additional and permanent. The projects that we support create both environmental benefits and additional social benefits for the communities surrounding them. Specifically, the projects are:
- Great Bear Forest Carbon Project
- Quadra Island Forestland Conservation Project
- Three Gorges Solar Power Project in China
Through supporting these projects we have offset the impact of our emissions by preventing the equivalent amount of emissions from being released elsewhere. We are proud to do business while taking action on climate change.
