"The Parkside Hotel & Spa hosted Dr. Jane Goodall and our events team during our trip to Victoria in 2022. It was Dr. Goodall’s first time back in Canada in 2.5 years due to COVID, and we were all wary of health and safety, as well as travel exhaustion after being back on the road after all this time.
We could not have been happier at the Parkside. We were constantly remarking on how the Parkside is an example of how spaces can be carbon neutral and feel luxurious. Our rooms were warm and welcoming. Every single staff member was kind, generous, and helpful at all hours of the day - going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They even made sure Dr. Goodall had delicious vegan meals from nearby restaurants, and freshly baked bread in her room when she arrived. The energy and spirit of the place was comforting and lively; and the atrium was like nothing we had ever seen. Dr. Goodall and our entire team had a splendid stay and would be back in a heartbeat.
